- ½ cup granulated sugar
- grated zest of ½ lemon, lime, or orange
- 1½ teaspoon fresh lemon, lime, or orange juice
- 2 large eggs, room temperature*
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
- 2 Tablespoons heavy cream*

- 1 cup frozen berries (I used strawberries), thawed
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
